Without You

1997

Without You

In the crowd I stood, I called out your name,
I called out loud, though it was in vain.
I look for your face as the people walk by,
I cannot find hope as hard as I try.
I hear your voice in all that I do,
But when I turn ‘round, I find it’s not you.
One moment you’re there, right by my side,
Then you are gone as though swept with the tide.
Every second I pray that you walk through the door,
And things would be as they were once before.
But you opened your wings; you needed to be free,
And one things for sure, in my heart you will be.
