In the Depths of Solitude

In the depths of solitude, a rare gem I be,
Most merely exist, but I, I truly live, you see.
In the minds of the thoughtful, joy is a fleeting guest,
A truth often overlooked, yet it stands the test.

Life, it marches on, a lesson I’ve discerned,
In the face of affection, insanity is returned.
When love graces you, oh, the melody changes its tone,
You feel secure, at ease, and never alone.

Life isn’t about the pursuit, it’s about the art of creation,
A mirror of worth, a tender affirmation.
It’s not your possessions, or your outward guise,
It’s your thoughts that matter, whether foolish or wise.

Heed your heart, lend an ear to your inner voice,
Ignore the crowd, let your soul make its choice.
Cherish all, trust a handful, harm not even one,
Be prepared for your foe, under the burning sun.

There comes a moment when silence blankets the world,
Your heart’s the only rhythm, let its song be unfurled.
Understand its cadence, its pulse, its whispering,
In restraint, not exertion, lies the art of persisting.

In a life of seclusion, rare instances arise,
When another soul’s hum harmonizes with your sighs.
As stars kiss the earth, in an annual affair,
Such was she to me, a constellation rare.

To love in memory’s light is an effortless task,
The challenge lies in loving the one within your grasp.
