Untitled #1

Do you find pleasure in my suffering?
Do you laugh while I wrestle against the ticking?
Perhaps I’m not getting the bigger picture, but nonetheless I continue the voyage.

The child seeks to find the sweetest smelling flower,
The teenager tramples on it,
The adult attempts to care for it,
The old man laughs at such a act.

Should I not smile back?
Do you gain what I gain?
What does the word “hello” mean?

On the way, one does not stop to ask
No one bothers caring
The buildings and cars are bystanders
And I am the victim

This is not a testament to my emotion
This is a testament to life
To the one sitting alone
To the one crying near the silhouette of the moon

This is for my friends,
My friends who do not know how I am.
What I seek I cannot find, what I find is not hidden, what is hidden is not found, what is sought is always near.
