Sequoia, I
have heard you laughing,
with the silver lake that's lapping
on the rocky shore

Sequoia, I
have seen your weeping,
your weeping fills the rivers
and the ground tastes it and it comforts you

Sequoia, I
have heard your fair voice calling
And I weep to see you falling
For I have seen you ever watching
Far above the hills

Sequoia, I
run to the river that I may see your sorrow
and share in your wisdom and your fears

Sequoia, I
will not forget you through my travels
I will carry you within my heart
for many years.
