If God's Not Real

I’ve lost everything
I gave it all away
Never thought it’d come to this
And yet somehow I did
 
Holding a firm belief
As long as I strive to breathe
I try to fight against the dark
But I am running way too far
 
I become alone once again
Will I ever find the one true friend?
 
If God’s not real
Then why do I hear Him call?
If hope’s not true
Then why can’t I truly fall?
 
I can’t hear your soothing sound
Loneliness has torn me down
Why can’t I ever weep?
My eyes are so dry and weak

I can’t be heartless...
Will I pull through?
Or will I die in darkness?

I lost loyalty
I deserve pain
No feelings remain
God, if you’re real
Show me how to feel
There’s nothing left
So just let me rest
 
I believe that you’re out there
I just wish I could see you
