Love

To:My Future Husband

Love is a fire that burns me deeply, but still I want to touch the flame.
It flickers so beautiful, but to control it won’t be the same.
I’ve been scarred from most flames that I’ve touched before.
I couldn’t help myself for the flame I have adored.
My finger tips hurt from where they’ve been burned.
Playing with fire is a tough lesson I’ve learned.
Why am I so drawn to the flame why do I still want it?
Love is painful at times, but still I won’t give up or quit!
For I know that somewhere out there there’s a flame that won’t burn me.
I know that it will never die out as my love burns for all to see.
Oh flame where ever you are....
I just hope that you’re not that far.

Every one can relate to bad break ups and ex boyfriends or ex girlfriends that they couldn't get over. We all been through the trials and phases of love. In this poem I symbolize love as fire. Fire is such a powerful tool. It can be used for a good thing or a bad thing. It depends on how its used or toyed. This poem is very beautiful and I'm glad to have created this poem. I hope that my fellow readers enjoy or relate to this poem.
