To the Hurt Girl

How did it feel, to love a man so real?
Couldn’t live without him, he was the real deal
Promising the world to a girl like you, sometimes
dreams almost seem as if they’re true
Didn’t have a clue to what was really going on
His infedelity lead you to write this long
And he made it crystal clear that you were a star..
A man like him couldn’t go that far.

His words were breathtaking, his actions not so much..
Inside of his bedroom is where he would touch
You in those moments of silence and confusion
A day dream dazing off to another illusion
And it hurt, it hurt like hell
But he loves you remember? Because you’re his belle.
He said he’d never physically put his hands on you, but once again
dreams seem so true

How did it feel to love a man so rough?
Now you have moved on, but you’re a little too tough
Then he suffocates you with a pillow and his hand
so you wouldn’t scream like thunder from his favorite band!
Then you start to cry, from fear that’s inside..thinking
“He said this was called love, this is my first time. Not sure if this is right,
not sure if this is crime.”

Now, you’re only fifteen but it’s taken all away from the
very same man, that promised you his day.

How did it feel, to love a man so weak?
Weak enough to hurt you, and call you a freak?
Now, you’re sweating from his body heat..It’s causing claustrophobia
And it hurt, it hurt like hell

Now the walls began to shake and you made a big mistake
He might of laced your herb, the drugs he made you take
The paranoia came, but you’re the one to blame
At the time all you thought about was luck and fake fame

The sick man in the room, yeah he put you through some shit
He kicked you to the floor, then you said “This is it”.
Both of you knew, your words were untrue
The next morning everything would be groovy because he’d
show up at your door with a strawberry smoothie.

How did it feel to love a man so compulsive?
Compulsively lieng, but his lieng became addictive
The resolution in his eyes, seemed to twinkle so bright. But it might just
be the the meth, the meth he smoked last night.

Now you’re thinking to yourself, “How discusting is
this man”. The man you once offered your marital hand.
You finally came to conclusion, conclusion of thought
that no man should treat his princess
like she’s really meant to rot.

So you pack up all your words and dignity as well.
He’s finally earned your trust, but that trust could go to hell.
You leave him in despair, no mercy at your feet.
You finally get a chance to feel victory and defeat

Your soul is now set free, for the next
great journey.
He left you a scar, so now every local person
cannot see who you are.
They think you’re anti-social and diffused from this world.
They call you a bitch because you’re now a strong girl.
