Nature's voice

Withered grass, wilted flowers,
fallen leaves trodden under foot
Nature’s cry of a sinful world.
Muddy footprints, steep deep slopes
Evidence of a surrendered will,
surrendered to a wily foe.

Though nature reveals a sin polluted world through
its unpolished adornment,
Yet the love of its Maker remains unchanged.
The songs of the birds and the flowing streams
show but bleakly God’s providence
For me.

Though tainted as I am and unjust I tend to be
My makers love remains unchanged.
He is God and cannot change, He is love and cannot lie
Though beings on High would testify
but He chose me to say to you:
God loves you, so come on home!

Written while on a hiking trail at a game reserve.
God's marvelous beauty surrounding me.
