Love stands strong when we cannot
It stands by us through battles fought
Through disappointments, hurts and fears
Through happiness and joyful tears
Love holds our hand when hope seems lost
And stays the course, no matter the cost
Love doesn’t have to run or hid
Love stands strong, by our side
When my best friend decided to renew her vows after her tour in Iraq, she asked me to write a poem to appear in her wedding progam. This is what I wrote for her and her husband.
