Tears Of Duncan

For those of you who don’t know me.
I am Thomas Eric Duncan.
Sunrise 1972.

Some know me as the Ebola patient.
Some know me as the guy who brought Ebola to America.
Some know me to be a father, a son, and an uncle.
Some know me by my character.
Passionate, Caring, Motivating, and Determined.
And have befriended me.

I have being robbed by Ebola.
Bullied by the media.
Enslaved by the hospital.
After forty-two years.
Ebola has taken away my freedom.

I have seen war.
I have experienced it.
But not EBOLA.
This deadly disease.

My people are suffering.
My people are dying.
And desperately needs help.

Laying on my hospital bed sobbing with grief’s.
As my heart beat with hates.
And my eyes bleed with tears.
I wonder why?

But I lived in a world where people only know you when they need you.
And never in time of  pains and sorrows.
They befriended me with lies and promises.
But through God I shall keep my faith.

When my time is running out.
Nowhere to turn.
My life hangs in the balance.
Syringe after syringe.
Dose after dose.
As my lung grasp for air.
And my hands clutching onto the sheet.
I closed my eyes.
For the very last time.
