If We Forget

There are periods and places in past, present, and somewhere down the ladder
when Transcendentalists become pessimistic patrons of nature’s patterns.
Questioning the cosmos as we question our creator,
wasting too much time on things that truly matter later.
Killing off each others freedom whether it be then, now, or down the pike.
There’s no questioning that logic so it seems that we should all just take a hike.
These bronze bods and big racks
attack ethological priority with a peer pressuring perception battle axe.
Our cerebral cortex feels the stress
from messing with wants instead of the needs for which we don’t acknowledge or address.
We are surrounded by fake Catholics, masses lashing out at the individuals
because they do not adopt their classless, old fashioned habits.
This isn’t all or everyone, it’s just some.
There is not a plethora of problems, it’s just one.
As souls we desire for tranquility, serenity, enlightenment,
but it’s strange to me how we have it in our hearts, but we keep fighting it.
If I could make a suggestion, I’d do as John and Paul would.
When Mary comes to me, I would let it be because it’s all good.
