The Absent Minded Artist
The absent minded artist; he wishes to erase.
He finishes the portrait,
and yet he hates the face.
the absent minded artist
knows not which path is best
And when he starts the journey
he never gets to rest.
If he could only tell them
what he felt deep in his heart
perhaps they would accept him
and understand his art
For while he was lonely
If you asked him today
He’d tell you he’s an artist
he paints the words he cannot say
