She Thought She Had it All

She thought she had it all
money a job and holidays abroad
She thought she even had a man
to be around her for a lifespan

She thought she had everything she needed
for the great life she was leading
She thought her life was all red roses
and never thought of the danger it poses

She thought she had a stable relationship
but it the ending came so quick
She thought she would get another job
in a school by a park near some yobs.

The caretaker was no fool he knew what he should do
he didn’t just clean the school, he had other cleaning jobs too
so he started a business off all alone cleaning offices on his own.
Then he invited her as a partner and cleaning a host,
something she liked to boast  the thing she didn’t know
that she would be the one to pay out the most.
The business in time started to fail
and the money train came off the rails.

In life there is no guarantee
this job was the same a fallen dream.
she said her life savings had all gone
and so did the caretaker singing a money song.

So her thoughts about having money and all
are falling falling each day I am told,
money is now at its lowest the bank have said
now she’s wishing the world would stop dead.

So now she’s living all alone,
nobody to talk to on the phone.
the money gone whatever next,
the house is cold so she will have to wear a vest.
the part time jobs have come to an end,
its sending her around the bend.

So the moral of this poem is if you think your alright
life throws everything at you and your not always right
there are some nasty people in this big old world one thing she learned
because she was taken for every penny she earned
She thought she had a lot of  money, now her life is not so funny.
She had power, fortune and fame, now she not got a penny to her name.
