Its wonderful and great value for a pound,
That little gold coin that’s shaped round.
The pound coin has been around a while,
It was a pound note but it changed its style.
Its a wonderful little coin is the pound
Small gold and is always around
A common coin we use each day
The quickest way to pay your way.
Pound coin has its name on a retail shop,
Everything is a pound so you don’t get a lot.
Lots of toys, sweets, clothes and food too
Everything in the pound shop waiting for you.
