Thermal vest
It was a very long time ago when the weather was bad,
I got some great advise off my dad.
He said better watch out a cold winter is on its way,
So go down the town this very day.
So I went down the town I was shopping it seems,
But not buying anything special for my dreams.
It was a garment a piece of clothing I can wear,
To keep me warm in the cold winter air.
Called in one shop then another one as well,
Looking for this garment was as hard as hell.
Asking the shopkeepers if they had one on a rail,
I wouldn’t care less if one came with a free bag of nails.
It was a thermal vest I am looking for,
That’s what my dad sent me down town for.
Walked up and down the streets all the time,
Looking for this thermal vest of mine.
Came to the last shop in the town,
Had a good look and a walk around.
Asked the shopkeeper if he had one,
He smiled turned around and gave me one.
So I took my dads good advise,
I wear my vest and its warm and nice.
It was worth going down town for that day,
Because I wear my thermal vest on cold frosty freezing days,
