Don’t throw me around,
You don’t even know me,
Don’t pretend you understand,
Unless you know Him completely.
You don’t know what I am,
Know what this “love” is,
Does your idea of “love,”
Dare to shine a light on His?
Your “love” is not love.
Love is so much more,
It isn’t just a word to use,
When you choose to “like” or “adore.”
You will learn slowly,
How to show His perfect love,
But for now, just be patient,
And strive for what’s above.
Say, “I love you” when you mean it,
And only when it’s real.
Love is not based only,
On the things you “love” to feel.
