Pain

The pain surrounds me,

There, it’s taking me up,

My heart is aching,

I should give up.

I feel like I’m drowning,

My only hope escapes,

I can’t reach the surface,

This is my fate.

I’m lost in a sea of people,

As I pretend to be who I’m not,

With a fake smile on my face,

I grieve what others forgot.

I begin to go numb,

I choke on my tears,

I pick up a blade,

And swallow my fears.

Everything I wrote in 2010 is pretty much devastating. I'd like to note that I am super content with life currently! Just sayin'
