Mostly

Most every cry, felt so hollow.
Most every day, so hard to swallow.

Most every dream, turned into sand.
Mostly I crawled, to weak to stand.

Most days blended together,
I couldn’t tell the day from the night.
Mostly always the same kind of weather,
I couldn’t even tell you wrong from right.

Mostly never would you wipe away my tears,
Mostly never would you offer to comfort and calm my fears.

Mostly never did you say “I love you”,
Mostly always into a rage you flew.

Mostly he didn’t even love me at all,
Mostly dead from this heartbreaking fall.

Most every day I wanted to die,
Most every night I would cry.
Mostly never would you even try,
Mostly always just another lie.
