The Voice of Truth
'Part 1: any solution’'
Facing upward, i fell to the ground
Yearning for a moment to be real
To touch things i can’t feel
I want to hold on and believe i still belong
Terrified And longing to find a solution
Any solution
I hunger for suggestions
Begging for this nightmare to end
Fighting vigorously to keep my sanity
heavily suppressed by my childhood fears
Plunged by this immense and devastating pain
The wounds on my back refuse to be healed
Senselessly i stumble upon the answer
For although i knew God
I never glorified Him as God
Nor were ever thankful
This world offered the stars and all its treasures
But gave me death instead
Filled with promise and all that was good
Overtaken by an incurable evil
Becoming futile in my thoughts
My foolish heart was darkened
Professing to be wise
I became a fool
And so He came, as sure as the day
To make a new covenant
Putting my needs before His own
He turned into sin so i could become His child
'Part 2: forsaken’'
A complete expression of His love and mercy
Hammered to a tree
Crying out to God:"it is done!"
He did it all for me
The scales fell from my eyes
As my face and body lifted from the water
Dying of my old self
I received a new identity
Awe struck by the beauty of creation
Taking in all that was given to me
But forgetting my place and responsibility
Forsaking my purpose eternally
'Part 3: the voice of truth’'
As days go pass, i struggle more and more to renew my thoughts
Wandering through the darkness
Trying to make sense of it all
Forcing the sounds and images out of my mind
But the shadows on my wall don’t sleep
The whispering of the trees never silent
And the waves laugh at me
Reminding me of my failures
Then i heard the voice of truth
Telling me a different story
A long forgotten sound
Silencing the storm within me.
