#Autumn
Lately, a sadness pervades, I mourn for youth, perhaps passion of younger days. With age, some of that passion
Perhaps it is the mind separating things into this and that. Perhaps it is the mind with it’s preferences
The flesh withers as we age But our inner spirit Remains the same. And when the body dies The spirit breaks free
Life is but a dream, our fantasies, spill, like liquid tears that pool and vaporize into the air.
In the blink of an eye It’s a different scene On the big movie screen So easy to get absorbed In the story line of time.
Tonight, the wind whistles as it rushes through the atmospher… Winter’s bare limbs of swaying trees, dance in the shadows.
When I first heard “The Blackbird,” In the middle Of night, I was just thirteen.
It’s a billion stars moving and co… While we sleep. It’s one miracle after another and… We do not take the leap. It’s the great heave of nature
Life is a day dream So they say, With every beat Of my heart, The gate to love
Old friends walking on the beach, the waves bring in, memories, of carefree days;
The white snow lay gently on the ground in a swirl pattern. The sky, a slab of smooth grey stone.
On a walk this morning, the rocky cliffs that reach the blue-green sea, talk of strength today.
The buck in the garden Chewing up hard earned Labor, His antlers raise, His ears perk up, as
Firefly shine your light, Brighten my life, Lead the way, through The meadows, in my mind. Firefly, float so high,
Red, yellow and orange leaves Fall quickly now And create a tapestry of color That fill my mind With joy.
