I don’t Write many poems
i don’t write many poems, any poems anymore
my pen in my desk like a whale on the shore
but my mind, still alive
as thoughts fly around
side to side up and down, yet my lips make no sound
if the thoughts are not caught, they may fly far away
forgotten, yet not lost forever you say
stop, write it down, poems are meant to be said
but sometimes poems are better, if they’re left in your head
