Time to shout "I'm Free"

Deny or hide it as I may,
The truth imprisons me.
But then in some amazing way,
Embracing it does set me free.
Who cares what they may say
My open book if all will see?
Then all the tears are wiped away,
Sorrow and gloom are sure to flee.
No guilt or shame is here to stay,
I cease my quest for elusive glee.
One  caveat: I have to pray,
Entrust it all on bended knee.
Then Divine truth comes my way,
Then Divine truth sets me free.

Thanks Robert. I'm so glad to get encouraging feedback so soon after joining Poeticus and posting for the first time.

I'll have to read Vic's poem also. By the way, that was a nice poem of yours, too.
