Have you ever wanted to take back a word or sentence?
Have you ever wanted to change what you did or didn’t do?
Did you think about that moment every night for weeks,
let it play over in your head like a playlist on repeat.
Did you ever wonder why you said what you said,
or why you did what you did?
When all it did was hurt someone’s dream,
or take away the time that you spent together?
Do you still look back to that day, years before,
when you spoke the words without a thought,
Or acted out of character, in the moment of heat.
Have you ever wanted to turn back the clock,
let time reset itself, and change the fate’s design?
Have you ever wished that you could travel back to that instance,
to be given just one more chance to meet?
If I could turn back time to exactly that hour,
if I had the opportunity to change what would occur:
To undo the wrongs spoken or performed.
To change how we met or to replace an imperfect time.
If I really had the power in my hands to make a difference,
If I could really achieve this feat...
The truth is that I wouldn’t do it– couldn’t do it.
I wouldn’t change a single moment of our time.
I wouldn’t take back any words, passionate or otherwise.
I wouldn’t change for the world the cuteness of our meet.
