Ending up
So I confessed,
I need time.
With just you.
So you say,
“I’ll give you the day.”
Like it’s the hardest thing in the world to do.
So you picked today,
A say that I have a curfew,
Can’t take away a weekend
That’s too much effort.
Too much time.
I get out at 9,
You work both jobs so you can’t even come with me.
Then again you have said in the past you didn’t want to go…
Even though it would support me.
What’s going on with you?
Oh I remember
Your best friend came back.
I don’t mean much in comparison.
So I confess,
Something needs to be done.
Because I need more time,
Just with you.
But he is always there.
You even invited him to come live with us,
Fine then.
I won’t make you choose; I already know the answer.
