THE TRUTH

You aren’t really happy when that smile’s a stranger to your heart.
You aren’t really sad if that frown’s glued solely to your mouth.
You’re not really scared if you’re saying that to get attention;
And it isn’t bravery if you think you can do everything on your own.

It doesn’t mean you’re perfectly true just because you’re proud of your bad side;
Showing your arse off all day won’t imply that you never lied all your life.
Who says being true to oneself excuses him for being a douche?
Or being a big B to everyone, screaming that her screws got loose?

It’s not pure honesty when you bash people for their flaws;
Then scream about ‘em out loud or post or tweet ’em and cause chaos.
If your craziness brings awful lot of fun and makes you think you’re being true,
You should know real happiness isn’t there, nor is real truth.

The real truth, my love, is pure though it seems harsh at times;
But although it usually hurts, it’s intention’s not to sever people’s hearts.
Half the time, it’s our own fault why the truth turned out hurtful;
We make our own versions of reality and make lies seem pleasing and cool.

When Jesus said He is the Way, the Truth and the Life,
By truth He never meant different versions, not even look-alike;
The truth He meant is the only real truth in this world,
The things we ought to share to the world, the truth of His love and His Word.

Our own beliefs about truth may seem more real and attractive;
The craziness and evil sides we have may look more enjoyable from our perspective.
But we all should know that fun and happiness are two hugely different words,
And worldly truth is no comparison to the truth and love of our great Lord.
