Centie Ambrose Bhekokwenziwayo Ngubane was born on the 10th February 1961 in Mzinti Village (Nkomazi Municipality-) in Mpumalanga Province. He is the fourth son of Mr. Eliam G Ngubane and the late Mrs Seikubeng Jane Ngubane.

He did his primary education at Mzinti Primary School and proceeded to Thembeka High School in Kanyamazane (Nelspruit) where he completed matric in 1980.
In 1981 he was appointed Assistant Teacher at Nkomazi High School (near Komatipoort) worked at Embhuleni Hospital (Badplaas) and Shongwe Hospital (Malelane).
In 1987 he went to study at the University of Zululand where he registered for a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration and Political Science as his major subjects. He also did Sociology, Development Studies and Systematic Philosophy.
At the University he served as Chairperson of the Ngoye’s SANSCO Branch, Deputy Regional Chairperson of the North Coast SANCO sub-regional Committee. He was elected into the University’s SRC on two occasions.
He has worked as the first Regional Administrator of the African National Congress of the then Eastern Transvaal Region and worked in the Department of Public Works Roads and Transport.
He further worked as Hospital Administrator for Matibidi Hospital and Chief Executive Officer for the Barberton, Shongwe and Tonga Health Complex.
In 2004 he joined the Provincial Government Complex and served as Deputy Director-Monitoring and Evaluation within the Planning Directorate and in 2008 he was appointed Personal Assistant to the Head of Department of the Department of Social Development.
He has contributed in a number of anthologies which include Ligwalagwala by SS Mahlalela, Timfofo by BS Khanyile and Ingono 2 by MP Mavuso.
