The Gift Of A Day.
Even before He made mankind,
The light of day was on his mind.
He made the darkness move away,
He spoke, and made a perfect day
Oh what a wonderful gift to wake,
To look, and see the morning break.
To see the clouds appear so fair,
To smell the soft sweet morning air.
God made light, and called it day,
then put creation on display.
Now waking up first thing I see,
A beautiful day shining in on me.
All the best things we would miss,
if God did not first give us this.
So let’s give thanks along the way,
That God has given us this day.
