Cracks in a Shell
You found a shell,
a wall, a guard.
You found a barrier around my mind,
and around my heart.
And yet you stood there, at my side.
Brightening my darkness,
though I couldn’t understand why.
First, there was a crack and then there were two.
and all because of you,
I found that love could be true.
You let us go at my pace,
now let us go at yours.
You fixed the breaks beneath my shell,
and now I will help mend yours aswell
