It was just one night,
and yet it was enough.
With spray cans and dares,
and their usual stuff.
But for one it was new;
the thrill of it all.
And she laughed with delight
as she watched night fall.
She knew she would always remember,
the freedom that they chased.
With the blow horns, train tracks
and stealing the boy’s hats.
Too soon, it was over.
She thought with remorse.
But she promised herself,
as she drove away,
To stay in touch
and hopefully,
meet one of them in particular
on that very next Friday.

Thank you to Logan, Jacob, and Lindsay for showing me how to have a fun time!
