Icebox

My loving grandmother

My hearts so warm like an open flame,
I’ll remember you by our middle name.
You bring me peace and you spoil me,
In your embrace is the feel of free.
You'll know forever that I am your baby,
and whenever you ask, I'll never say maybe.
Playing football outback, I'd run like a fox.
You're always my teammate I love you, Icebox.

This poem is titled "Icebox" because when i was about five years old, my grandmother and I would play football together and for some reason I nick named her "Icebox." She holds a very special place in my heart that no one can touch or remove.
