Expect without Attempt

It’s late and I need sleep, I’m lost in a world of thoughts that just won’t disappear, and I always thought that love could happen, on a chance and it would all just work out but look at me now, wounded and in need of fixing, tired and not ready to run again, but waiting hasn’t always been my favorite part of the game.
(I’m waiting on something to happen, when I’m doing nothing to make it come true, I’m wondering why all my dreams and wishes aren’t coming true when I don’t even know what they are, you can’t expect to receive without attempt at retrieval )
I see you but only in distant memories, I don’t have any keep sake memories stored somewhere, so I can pull them out and cry, no I tore through my room and emptied it of anything that I knew would remind me of you, which wasn’t too hard, because I hated anything that did ()
If your waiting, go and get it, if your watching go out there and play, don’t let anyone tell you, you can’t, when you haven’t even tried, with your heart in it, nothing can stop you ()
