Conversations With Poets

note: send me a note if its ok to put your name up

you see beauty in something that no one else sees
it is yours to do with as you please
you hold it in the palm of your hand
its fate is yours to control or command
but you are not satisfied to live and love just like before
you have grown to want something more
choosing instead to return love from whence it came
and wait for love to return again
perhaps in time and freedom learned
to be worthy of what it yearned
maturely ripened without stain
able to cup YOUR love like pouring rain...

dancing with your words... while
eating the sprinkles off the cupcakes
one at a time, so slowly
as it melts in my mouth
never to be returned
such a sad state to be in
no one lives here
population zero
but plant a tree beside me
and watch me grow

This was the first of your "Conversations With Poets" that read. I thought I would be first take advantage of what seemed to be an open invitation.... clearly misunderstood! haha!.... No harm, no foul :)

Did I write this to one of yours? I could have sworn it was commented in MDs... let me know as I definately want to credit and introduce others to the writers I follow and whose work I admire!
