Conversations with Poets

inspired by "eye contact that spans hundreds of miles"

*when asked to describe my eyes
...i suppose...
from what they observe
they are expressive
seeking to connect
a lifetime in each moment...
they are easy to read
if you hold them long enough
they will speak to you
in ways
even my words cannot...
they are incapable of lying
or denying the truth
they convey love
they are quick to smile shining playfully
ever encouraging adventure
yet caring
they are never judgmental
although when saddened by what they see
they will avert their gaze
move on once decided....
still they remain nurturing
through it all confident
in their measure...
at times they are passionate
burning the deepest blue flames
so hot as to leave one breathless
longing to be enveloped in their rapture...
they connect while in the act
hold most carnally
taking an equal portion
of what they give...
they sing of passions passion boasted
while working the flesh to nirvanic bliss
rendering it ready for the soul
the mixing of two lives...
...these days though...
they no longer close
upon the release of all that they have held
for their is no rest
no lovers embrace to clothe me
after i have bared my soul...

Very beautiful. As I look at your picture I see those Sad Eyes. Ones that will never find what they are looking for. Of course, that is just this picture. Like you said, your eyes show all types of emotion. Hopefully more Happy than Sad. God Bless You. Sandi.

most definitely worth gazing into
and holding on as the water pours over
trying to flood the soul of the whole
the warm rays embarrassing as if touching
going deep as if searching the ocean
grasping each moment upside down
juggling it around, feelings in pulses
tenderly wiping the one that escaped
the image is distorted in the bubble
the mind trying to free the words
to reach out and attach it's self
to the meaning, the hidden truth
wrapped around tight
with no light in sight
you might get a little r.e.m
