What are we doing?
Do we have any idea?
Do we even care?
Have we become like these stars that we now observe?
Are we just hurtling mindlessly?
Are we burning ourselves up?
Is this just some great cosmic spectacle?
For what purpose?
Does there need to be a purpose?
Is the ride not purpose enough?
Is there a better view than where we are?
Is your nature like mine?
Is it tied to action?
When fate makes the opportunity can we not help but make the moment?
Don’t you want to act upon it?
Don’t you want to take from it all it’s worth?
Can you leave a single spec unexplored?
Don’t you want to experience it all?
Don’t you want to savor it?
Are your desires not demanding it?
Are we not nature itself?
Shouldn’t others be observing us?
Can you stand to let them stare and reconcile the meaning of our nature?
Can you stand to let them walk past as we live it?
Is life not better spent in passion?
Do you feel safe in their philosophy?
Don’t you want to feel the pulsing of your heart next to mine?
Don’t you want to race with me like these stars?
Don’t you want to experience the view?
Is it not each other we are really watching?
Aren’t we two objects each in our own space?
Aren’t we both used to being the center of the universe?
Do we not both produce our own ecliptic planes and orbital systems?
How did we get here?
I mean are we not in the midst of a common gravitational interaction?
Are we both orbiting a common mass not centered upon either one of us?
Can’t you feel it pulling us toward a common point?
Which one of us is going to slip first?
Can it even be described as slipping?
Shouldn’t it be described as leaping?
If we got to close would our systems collide?
Would everything we knew be made over?
Redefined?
Would it all be flung into new regions of reality?
Would the pull of the dark matter surrounding us be too much to ignore?
Would we merge under the tug of gravity?
Would we reshape into a single elliptical force?
Would we finally be able to answer the burning question?
Which came first the chicken or the egg?

For those times when you meet someone whose creativity helps spark your own... when their passion for their art mixes with yours and something special happens... you are able to create something worth creating ;)

thoughts while wading through------
making one gear smaller
to slow the time
can make it holler
will the other hear
the sound of the dollar
as it pushes the second hand
up against the collar
tying all three in one
while teaching a trawler
to UN-snag the net
as you become a squalor
in the others game
of mauler
while trying to send
for Waller
as the blue
explodes with scholar
lovely honeysuckle rose
helps one grow taller

;)I think you have heard this one...
Well, meet me Jesus, meet me, meet me
in the middle of the air
If these wings should fail to me
Lord, won't you meet me with another pair
Well, well, well, so I can die easy
Well, well, well
Well, well, well, so I can die easy
Jesus gonna make up, Jesus gonna make up
Jesus gonna make up my dying bed

Well if the Stars were going out one by one, you might need that glass of wine, but it wouldn't do you any good....

So many questions, the answer to all of this is perhaps in the concluding lines of Arthur.C Clarke's short story "The Nine Billion Names of God"......

thanks for the references and the opportunity to grow. II'll definitely check them out :)We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time.
T. S. Eliot said thatYou can fool all the people some of the time, and some the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time.
Abraham Lincoln said thatI'll let you be in my dreams if I can be in yours
Bob Dylan said thatCan you keep pace with the storm?
(More of a request than a question)
I said thatI am loving reading your verses. Awesome storytelling... you always enlist the right words... very edifying!!!!

Think Cory-the answer to this is bound up in metaphysics. "Our lot crawls between dry ribs to keep our metaphysics warm" TS Eliot..Or try Ken Wilber of Colorado- "The universe is spiritual to the CORE"-beyond the STREAM of time and space NONE of this will have occurred. Personally I think it is all experiential,if one does not feel it one will not see it? The latter of mind as in meditation but not the closed thinking loop of the brain.
J Krishnamurti is very convincing on this.

Your mind must be very active, I get the impression that it never rests, and you are constantly thinking and discovering and you can stay quiet for a long period of time piecing things together in you head. These are all very vague assumption, but I feel as tho you and I are very alike in our nature (or I could be wrong), I am very excited to read more of you poetry! Also did or do you talk very fast? These are all very random questions but this poem is very interesting and I feel that the person who wrote it is even more so, but then again i'm just observing.
