Drowning

Without a firsthand account, you wouldn’t understand what it’s all about.
A fog, a haze, indecisiveness for days.
A fog that lingers, holding you captive with its ice cold fingers.
A haze that pulls you by a rope in the wake of your mistakes.
The relentless darkness takes you To a place you don’t wanna be, you wouldn’t wish it upon your worst enemy.
But the irony is you are your worst enemy. Your mind robbing you of clarity, making you question your own sanity.
Drowning in a sea of doubt, head just above the surface with desperation to get out.
Not sure if you’ll surface, or if it’s even worth it.
It’s exhausting trying to find yourself when you’re trapped inside yourself.
Looking in the mirror you’re standing beside yourself, behind yourself
You’re blind to yourself.
