Right foot in front,
Left foot back
Head held high,
Sun at your back.
Wind in your face,
Love in your heart
Makes us forget
The day we fell apart.
We thought we were strong,
It told us we weren’t.
It took us to places
lower than dirt.
We were stuck in a hole,
provided a rope
Leaning on strangers,
Living off hope.
Nothing made sense,
We didn’t know why.
All that we knew
Is we had to try.
Then up we went,
rope in hand.
We finally surrendered
And made it to land.
