by allowing expectation
to fall along the shores of supposed to’s;
a territory whose waters enslave reality.
The mind diluted with liquid restrictions;
each thought highly limited...
Potential drowns
in the shallows.
A heart that’s hollow
has a painful beat.
It’s hard to move
with lead feet,
and sinking takes so long.
The legs will move, if told.
The breath will flow, with each let go.
