Remembering Reality
It’s said, when you close your eyes
you can see the ones you love.
No matter how far away they are.
True love doesn’t rest in the brain,
it lives in the heart.
When I see your smile, it sparks life within me.
When I see you cry, it puts me in a place of empathy
and on to a place of remembering...
...the pain, fear, desperation...
And then the most wonderful sensation,
a tingling down the spine,
an opening in the chest;
my heart being swarmed with acceptance,
my consciousness spilling over into the
vast expanse of human experience
and I begin to see the connections
between all that is living.
As below,
so above.
In other words,
I start to experience love.
Your essence intertwines
with mine.
Your presence shakes within me
all that is alive.
It then becomes so apparent to me
that this is the journey
from being stuck to unstuck,
from feeling trapped to being free,
from compromising my values
to living at one with my integrity,
from being immersed in thoughts from the past
to living in the present.
Sharing these moments...
such precious moments.
