Paint me

After my first love, laid in jail and I felt done.
I Tried so much to find relief to ease my heartbreak to help me sleep
And when I found you thin and tall
Mismatched eyes and hair a mess
I found a love I must confess
And while so sweet and short
Life so cruel

I wish you’d of tried more cause I still think of you
Maybe my dreamy nature of air And water scared your earthy fire.
Maybe just maybe I wasn’t what you desired
But I found love in the roses that bloomed I found a heart in a fire consumed
Heat and laughter
Tears we cried
Talking about our loved ones who died
And so I cast my heart to sea
Hoping only once you’ll even think of me
