Galaxy

We are living on the Milky Way Galaxy,
Do not know how long we will stay.
The nearest star is far away,
A lifelong spin for me,
My home within a galaxy,
A speck upon the sky it’s true,
A billion more are out there too,
And though they are moving away
This is where we hope to stay,
Expanding universe or not
We are certainly a dot -
We have mapped the Earth,
We know its girth,
A member of the universe,
We are living on the Milky Way
In a spiral arm of light,
And in such flight,
Do not complain
You’d be insane,
Enjoy the ride,
Filled with pride,
On the Milky Way Galaxy.
The galaxy is curled -
The views are out of this world
In expanding dark matter
Pushed by dark energy,
Call it inflation or infinity
Whatever -
Miracles cannot get better
Than living on the Milky Way Galaxy.
