Love in Action
You cannot know the things I know about you
For you cannot see them in yourself.
I know the things that make you who you are,
The things that make you what you are,
The things that someone looking from afar
Might never notice, that make you a star
In my household and my life,
The qualities men long for in a wife.
Not that I’m the only one to have such bliss,
Many men are lucky too in this,
Though other men, of course, are not
And wish they’d never tied the knot.
I should write down the qualities I see in you
That other males might look on as a clue
For potential wives or partners who are true.
The truth is there is far more going on
Than meets the eye - for interaction
In all things is the key to our affection,
An inspired blend of love in action.
