Let Her Cry

How many sounds do you hear in her eyes?
And what is the color of her soul when she cries?
Do you see her in the blazing orange of sunset
Or in the hope that comes a-dancing with the sunrise?

Does the song she sings remind you of your childhood
Those fleeting days that you thought would never end?
And if you had the chance to replace the loves that failed
Would she be the one, the only one, my friend?

You must dance with her in the secrets of your dreams
And let her cry, when those tears must be shed.
So let your heart be ever mindful of her moods
And let her know that you’re the quilt upon her bed.
