You Might Want To Pray

I understand your frustrations, I really do,
Your in love and you want to be loved too.
And if I could help, I don’t know if I should,
'cause you tried to build a fire without wood.

Life is full of harsh realities
And the pain can bring you to your knees
You can’t saddle a wild horse and ride too long
Now suck it up and sing your lonesome song.

Life’s too short, at least that’s what they say,
And you’ll make mistakes, again, another day
So don’t pine over the one that got away
Just be grateful for the one that said they’d stay.

So, if you insist on building fires without wood
And saddling wild horses, to you, seems good,
Just remember who it is that’s gonna pay
And when you do, you might just want to pray.
