purpose in serving the King
I sit and wonder.
I wonder about my purpose
and Your calling on my life.
I have served fervently,
not caring about the fruits of my labour.
Yet dissatisfaction overcomes me.
I still wonder.
Wonder about Your plans fo my life,
what exactly do You want from me?
Everytime I felt lost and confused,
abandonment sets in.
I’m wanting to give up.
Maybe I was wrong all along,
ministry is not meant for me.
But finally,
after losing hope,
You speak.
Reminding me of who You are,
not of who I am.
You show me your heart,
All I see is people.
You show me mine,
and I see pride.
For so long ministry was church,
but now I know:
It’s people sharing and serving each other,
for the sake of Your Kingdom.
What is my calling?
What is my purpose?
Let me learn from Jesus,
Let me serve His people.
Serving is the heart of Jesus,
serving is everyone’s ministry.
Now let us serve the people
as we serve the King.
Our purpose?
To live a life of serving.
You have shaped every creature.
Some to run,
Some to hop,
some to swim
and some to fly.
Each for it’s own role,
each for Your glory.
But You, the Master Architect,
has shaped man for a role so special,
so unique, each with his own task.
But one stays the same,
to serve in Your Kingdom
