Hidden passage
A road not taken,
Often misread and mistaken,
Is the path forsaken,
Cluttered and covered,
With leaves and trees,
Cracked and broken,
A down pour of rain, and pain,
Consistent strikes of lightening,
This path is dark and frightening,
With every hard right turn,
Every single ounce of you, will yearn,
To leave this course because it’s tough,
Constantly doubting yourself that you don’t have enough,
Of whatever it takes,
To accept everything this life makes,
Launches your way,
Every decision is to duck or sway,
In order not to get hit,
By a choice you regret,
Everyday is a fight,
To keep things light,
To stay a little goofy and keep thing funny,
Like childhood hero’s, Elmer Fudd, Daffy, and Bugs Bunny,
Diligently reminding yourself,
"Do not bend,
The dark will end,
The light, it’s not only bright,
But warm and sunny."
