Beautiful roses

A rose in a glass case
Hoping to preserve and keep it in place
Slowly dies irrespective
The petals fall down
One by one
No longer stands a beautiful rose
It was worth the thornes
Carefully picking from the bush it grew from
It was worth the possibility of pricking our fingers
When it was a beautiful rose
So what is it now when it died
Each petal fallen off
Now turning brown
It was good then but not good now
So we toss away the no longer perfectly positioned rose
We go back and pick another who stood out the most
It never lasts it dies as well
Is there beauty in
Watching it die
When it’s the same as it were outside
