My Winter Heart

My heart in ice did slowly freeze,
While the frost of Winter swirled,
Terror’s of night were caught in the breeze,
As a scream of snowflakes whirled.

Tears of blood as tears of pain,
In a puddle were collected,
Falling, falling like that of rain,
While true love my heart rejected.

Frozen stillness in this hour,
What death of deaths surround me now,
All around a crimson tower,
And I, forsaken in the snow.

This kingdom of chaos and of fear,
Is turning my life so numb,
You, my love, that my heart held dear,
Are gone; and to ice I shall succumb.
