Oh dear mother the pain that you’ve endured

the life that you have given me leaves me joyful and blessed

yet i think of all your children filled with greed and anger

nuclear waste putting your life in danger

they treat you as though your nothing but a stranger

they go to wars yet forget the teachings of the child in the manger.

Oh dear mother please show them the way

it seems they have been led astray

distracted with toys and gadgets from this technological wave

wars famine hunger death

taking all you have to give until nothing is left

Dear mother i feel your pain

giving all you have to be left stripped and bear

being a victim of the children you gave so much

I can only wish for there eyes to be opened

so they could see that we are all one

and that fact is one that is golden
