Shaman in a Shirt and Tie

The mourning routine as a time of reflection and preparation
The mind relaxed and reformatted
Excising the shards and splinters of useless thoughts and desires
The sacred space is created;

    Vestments are donned (shirt buttoned bottom to top, a half-windsor knot tied carefully, with
           the tip of hte tie ending at the belt buckle)
    Sacraments are consumed (triple venti cinnamon dolce latte on the road, or a cappuccino
           with two shots of espresso and half & half at the office)
    Phylacteries bound (one phone in the left hip pocket, the other in the breast pocket, stylus
           slipped between button three and four, watch would and slipped onto the right wrist)
    Rites are performed (one last look at my sleeping children, a kiss for my sleeping wife, the
            door locked firmly behind me)

This is my day
This is my Way
