It’s what makes it right
When less than’s the norm
It’s the sanity in better than you
When I know that I’m not even equal
It’s what holds me up
Against the odds
It’s what sooths the uneasy
The unrest inside
It’s what makes the undoable possible
When the loss is all I see
It pushes me on
To do better than
When life hands me the whole lemon tree
It makes me feel love, forgiveness and joy
When my seekings found nothing will due
It brings back the peace
The colorless place
Where they and them and us can’t follow
It is family and friend
And future so wide
I can’t imagine surviving without it
A voice to listen when I want to cry
It is the safe place
When less than bites
It’s what reminds of permanency
So hard to find
It’s what makes everything okay
And sometimes okay is just fine.
